Cycle to the Summit

Watch or Ride the Cycle to the Summit, on Saturday August 9! This exhilarating annual cycling race that takes riders on a grueling ascent up Pikes Peak. More information, here.


On Saturday, August 9, cruise into the Summer Car Show at Mash Mechanix Brewing. Spend the day surrounded by stunning vehicles, craft beer, delicious food from Stage Stop Cantina, and a fun, free, family-friendly atmosphere, all while supporting El Paso County Search and Rescue. Join the Wildflower Wednesday, on August 13 at Cheyenne Mountain State Park, where we will hunt for and discuss “what is blooming” on various trails in the park. The hike is led by a volunteer naturalist, well-versed in the park’s trails and botany. Space is limited & tickets are required so get yours today, tickets & information here.

Tails, Tunes & Tastes at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has tickets available for Thursday, August 28. Enjoy a magical evening on the mountain, exclusively reserved for ages 21 and up. Local musicians will set the mood as you explore the Zoo. Tickets include unlimited small plates and two drink tickets. Cash bars also available. Visit cmzoo.org/tails for all the details.

Sunrise at 14,115 feet!

Don’t miss a chance to experience one of nature’s most breathtaking moments! Happening two more times in 2025; Sept. 27, and Oct. 13! Important Information: Advance purchase required: A timed entry permit (per vehicle) and admission fees must be secured online in advance. North Slope Recreation Area will not be accessible during this event.

The Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off is an annual hot air balloon festival that takes place over Labor Day weekend (August 29 - Sept 1), offering a spectacular display of colorful balloons taking flight at dawn. This family-friendly event, held in Memorial Park in Colorado Springs. More information & details, here.
