The 2024 6th Annual Walk Run Roll for Daniel Benefitting the Brave Daniel Irrevocable Trust and Children’s Hospital Colorado. Daniel Giffin is a 16 year old Colorado Springs native who has been battling multiple reoccurring brain tumors since he was 11 years old. He is currently undergoing chemo and another 10 rounds of radiation for a total of 58 rounds. He has had 7 brain surgeries with the most recent in October 2023. Daniel is known for riding up Pikes Peak on a unicycle at 11 years old and starring in the ’Shift’ RAGBRAI Documentary about the 7 day ride across Iowa, which he did twice while battling brain cancer. bicycleresort.com/walkrunroll

The Colorado Springs Cycling Club is a non-profit community recreational cycling club open to all ages and abilities. It was started in the mid 80s by Bob and Anne Smith following the ending of the Strata Cycling Club. When I moved to Colorado Springs 22 years ago the club became my first family of friends and I fell in love with the Springs riding with them. I’ve been on the board for several years now and also helped put on the Club’s Buena Vista Bike Festival for about 4 years in the 2010s. It was truly my pleasure to be able to host this special live podcast and season kickoff of the Club. There are so many exciting things happening with the club this year.
